I don't like to visit this dealership most of the time. When I bought my previous Toyota, they refused to sell me one for a reasonable price. I bought in Dallas and saved around $10,000. So when I bought my current Toyota in Oklahoma, I swore I wouldn't go to Hub City for anything. Unfortunately, I had questions about how top use all the new features. I had an appointment to have my one hundred thousand mile check up done which when I got there they didn’t know that was what I came in for. I had my appointment at 11:30 but got there at 10:30 but was informed that my car was just being started at 3:30 when I called to check on it. When they told me at 5:15 done I asked what all they did and they told me that they changed the spark plugs only to find out that they didn’t because they didn’t have them in and they were supposed to drain ... Friendly, courteous, knowledge, stay in communication about my vehicle service needs, repairs are done in a timely manner. They provide an Uber to take me home and when the service is completed they pick me up and take me back to the dealership.
Service advisor Adam B. is top notch. I only work with him when I can. He knows I'm particular with my two cars that I have serviced here so he matches that energy and makes sure to get my cars taken care of exactly how I want.

It's no longer Gene Messer Toyota. The texts don't work well. They ask you to call them but then it goes to the front desk every time. The approval process on the estimates is sketchy. I'm thankful for getting my car repaired without an appointment and I suppose 2 days was reasonable. I was stranded from out of town so getting my car repaired where I made it home safely was most appreciated.
Service department is a “well oiled machine”! Fast, friendly service in a very clean environment.
I trust Toyota with my vehicles. I am on my second Toyota, only because I upgraded, and feel they keep my vehicles running smoothly. Friendly staff every time I drive onto the location. Group 1 Toyota Hub City has been my go to since 2018❤️❤️

Group 1 Toyota Hub City, Lubbock, TX is very fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful with any problem you may have. Especially David, one of the service advisors. I am not tech savvy and David continuously helps me with WiFi, internet connection, and understanding of dashboard panel. David is very kind and diligent to make you feel comfortable in asking questions. He always goes out of his way for you as a customer. He is a keeper. I have so much respect David and this company. I wouldn't buy a car anywhere else.

Lubbock Texas.. Amanda in services was not very helpful and actually forgot about me when I went to pick my vehicle up. I waited 30+ minutes another associate brought me the WRONG CAR and I finally got help from someone else and had my car within seconds while Amanda was no where to be found..

I took my Tacoma into another shop to get the ac fixed. They replaced broken parts but the AC still didn’t stay on. So I took it to Group-1: they ordered the same parts and said the problem was because the other parts weren’t OEM. I was so xxxxxx. I was planning to sue the first shop. But when Toyota went in to replace the brand new aftermarket parts they found that the wires to the AC condenser were damaged. I took the car in for recall work, and it was not starting. They said battery was fine. I leave dealership and two hours later, it won’t start again. They made no effort to make it right except for me to get somebody else to help me get it started and to figure out how to get it back to the dealership.
Clean, friendly competent Time between drop off (8am) and call with estimate of repair (after 1pm) was long in my estimation. However after that job was completed quickly and correctly.
I left to get my truck fix and came back with things that were not wrong but now it is. My cruise no longer works and my collision light is on and never has been but picked up my truck. And now yall want me to pay to see what’s wrong not fair and not right. Yall need to make it right.

Lack of communication in the service department. Was told my vehicle would be ready the next day which was Friday and then didn’t hear anything. I called and didn’t get ahold of anyone until Saturday. Then they told me my parts wouldn’t be in until Monday. I asked if they could provide a loaner vehicle and they said no and that the rental places were already closed. I was without my for 3 days when I could have just picked it up and took my car back when parts were available. Poor communication on their end.
Gene Messer Toyota is a great dealership. Their service dept. is great and their sales dept. is outstanding. We bought a used 2024 Ford Maverick last Monday and the experience was exceptional!! Best car buying experience ever! Don’t ever change the way you do business!! It works!!

Gene Messer Toyota Service Department takes great care of their customers! I have taken my Prius to them for over 10 years. They keep you informed + let you know if they discover additional problems. Today, while awaiting the 16 point Inspection, I recevied a text message with a video moving over my car's underside + detailing all the points. From the oil change- 'no problems', to the rear brakes 'probably needing work in 5000 miles'. Everyone is courteous + helpful. I will always take my car to them as needed.
Service was performed quickly and my oil change was completed in less than than time is told.
The agreement was honored 100%. No funny business. In and out in 45 minutes with the keys.

I ton my car in for a check engine light. When they told me what the problem was I explained that the radiator was previously replaced by an auto body shop because I hit a deer over a year ago and asked if it wasn’t just a loose hose connection and I got no response just an estimate for the repair. $1665 which is astronomical. I won’t buy or use Toyota ever again. this is ridiculous!
I have my Lexus serviced at Gene Messer Toyota. They have always been very accommodating and reliable. In addition they make you feel like they genuinely appreciate your business. This is such a sharp contrast to our local Lexus dealer. On top of this, they are considerably less expensive for the same services and don’t try to sell you things you don’t need.
They’re great. The staff is incredibly kind, and their work is clean and honest. Prices feel very fair. The interior is clean and comfortable. All around a very good place to get your car serviced.

Super easy to book appointment online and the service providers where super professional and kind. Was able to get in and out, I defiantly recommend going on a Monday when it is less busy. Was in and out within an hour and a half, and that is with them replacing my brake pads and oil.
This dealership is by far the best place ever. The work is perfection and the staff is stellar from Dave Randall, Matt Walker the service manager to all advisors. They have an A+ rating.
Adam was very courteous and professional about getting the job completed. Waiting time was minimal.
Went to have my vehicle serviced. Four people sat at their stations avoiding eye contact with me while one guy checked in a vehicle ahead of me. Ten minutes later, another vehicle arrived and a service worker approached her immediately. My vehicle was promised in 1 1/2 to 2 hours once the recall was finished but actually took 4 hours after I sent two texts for updates with no response and then a phone call. They did provide an uber for me which was nice, and they also honored my coupon.
Bryan in service was excellent. He kept us informed, was personable, and even finished ahead of schedule.

Toyota of Lubbock is a great dealership and has a wonderful service department. It show transparency from the moment you arrive from your advisor to the technician and the video they take to the way the service manager checks on the customer’s waiting in the lounge. Drove up with my appointment and was greeted with a smile. I was informed on where I could wait, and given instructions. I was able to either buy coffee, or opt for the ones offered for free. The place has chargers available, along with optional free scones as a provided snack. I got a text updating me for anything that was happening. I appreciated the way I was taken care of here, and will return.
We had our car serviced but also had a Doctor appointment. Bryan Womack made sure our car was serviced and we had it back on time to make it for doctor appointment. Appreciate Bryan for doing that for us.

I own a 2013 TT FJ Cruiser and don’t trust just anyone to work on her. I’ve taken her to Gene Messer Toyota and Colby’s service crew since buying her. Every single service is the best experience! From texts to keep me updated to realistic repairs or part replacement recommendations as needed. They know how special this vehicle is and they take the best care to keep her in her prime.
Although the person booking my appointment on the phone rushed to hang up and didn’t seem to care about my questions, the people in the dealership were wonderful. They made my entire servicing free of charge without me asking or a warranty or anything. I didn’t pay a cent, that was just kind of them!
